Program overview

The College of Advanced Healthcare Sciences (CAHS) Professional Master’s in Advanced Functional Movement and Human Performance (Healthcare / Rehab Pathway), combines a continually updated, peer-reviewed, and rigorously researched evidence-based approach to the assessment, identification and treatment of dysfunctional movement patterns.

This course utilizes content from Functional Movement Systems (FMS) Professional Certification Programs designed by Gray Cook and Dr. Lee Burton.

AFMHP (Healthcare / Rehabilitation) is a comprehensive professional Master’s program empowers healthcare and rehabilitation practitioners to accurately analyze movement and prescribe evidence-based corrective rehabilitative strategies.

AFMHP (Healthcare / Rehabilitation) focuses on correcting the underlying causes of dysfunction and their impact on the body. It centres on the idea that we have inherent movement designed for maximal efficiency and optimal function. When people deviate from this, they do so in, identifiable and correctable patterns.

This course is designed for regulated healthcare practitioners who are licensed to assess. It can be taken by any healthcare professional interested but you will not qualify for the professional certification in FMS - SFMA 1 or 2.

After successful completion of the Master’s content, you will also have earned 8 FMS Professional Certifications.
