CAHS is partnered with WEU (Western Europe University)

The College of Advanced Healthcare Sciences (CAHS) partners with Western Europe University (WEU) to deliver our Professional Master’s programs.

We also partner with leading North American healthcare educators, content providers and experts like ProHealth Systems and Dr. Nikita Vizniak to provide the most relevant and evidence-based content.

CAHS develops specialized healthcare education programs designed for practicing clinicians, while Western Europe University provides academic governance. Our program offers a double diploma - a Professional Master’s awarded by CAHS and a Maestria (Spanish word for master’s) awarded by WEU.

This partnership combines:

CAHS

  • Specialized healthcare curriculum
  • Practitioner-focused learning
  • International faculty and clinical experts
  • Flexible online program delivery

WEU

  • University academic oversight
  • Formal postgraduate credential issuance
  • Academic quality assurance
  • University transcripts and diplomas

Together, this model allows us to offer advanced postgraduate education designed specifically for healthcare professionals worldwide.

The Master's Students Receive

Graduates of CAHS Professional Master’s programs receive a Título Propio Maestria issued by WEU - Western Europe University. (*Maestria is the spanish word for Master’s). You will also receive a diploma for your Professional Master’s from CAHS.

Students receive:

  • Official academic transcripts from CAHS/WEU
  • Recognition as graduates of a university postgraduate program

Students receive:

  • A university Professional Master's issued by WEU (FYI - In Catalan this is known as a Mestratge)
  • An official academic transcript
  • Recognition as graduates of a university postgraduate program

What Is a Título Propio?

In Spain (and numerous other countries), universities offer advanced professional degrees under their own academic authority known as Título Propio or Master’s en Formación Permanente. (in Spanish, it is known as Maestria.) This advanced graduate program is awarded under the Andorran university framework as Maestria (or in Catalan a Mestratge.)

These programs allow institutions to develop specialized graduate education aligned with emerging professional fields.

Título Propio programs are widely used by universities to deliver advanced professional education designed for working practitioners.

Because universities design these programs directly, they can:

  • respond quickly to emerging healthcare fields
  • integrate current clinical research and practice
  • offer highly specialized practitioner-focused training
  • deliver flexible learning formats suitable for professionals
  • issue university-awarded  degrees and transcripts

Título Propio vs. Título Oficial

Many universities in Europe offer two types of programs - Título Propio and Título Oficial Degree.

Títulos Oficiales are government awarded programs for students wanting to pursue a Phd or gain entry into a regulated career field. They are academic theory and research focused.

Títulos Propios are university awarded programs for students already in regulated careers (Psychology, PT, RMT, Chiropractic, Nursing etc.) who are seeking relevant evidence-based degrees to improve patient outcomes and help them stand out in a competitive workplace market. They are advanced specialty programs that are practitioner focused.
